Go Beyond the Content

Students need educators who Go Beyond the Content.

Not that content isn't important, but there is a more important component to education than making sure students pass tests and master skills.

Students have a FEAR problem. They're capable of learning, but FEAR they will fail and look foolish - so why try. They FEAR they’re on their own, that the system is against them, and no one can be counted on to help them - so why try. They FEAR they will never live a life of meaning - so why try. FEAR dominates and prevents students from becoming the amazing people school can help them become. We need students to live FEARLESSLY.

The FEARLESS WORLDVIEW - not being afraid of failure, knowing you have a support team, and knowing the future is worth taking a risk for - is what students need in order to be successful in school and in life.

Students can’t move from FEAR to a FEARLESS WORLDVIEW just by learning more content. They need educators who intentionally serve as compasses pointing them to the worldview they need to live autonomous and productive lives.  We must intentionally GO BEYOND THE CONTENT.
